Kathmandu Meet and assist on arrival at Kathmandu airport, transfer to Hotel. The Nepalese Claim to have developed the pagoda style of architecture and this afternoon on your tour of the city you will see much evidence of this. Visit Swayambhunath, one of the oldest Bhuddhist temples in the world, Kasth Mandap, the wooden temple which gave Kathmandu its name and the temple of living Goddess. Overnight at Kathmandu. |

Kathmandu-Bhaktapur Early morning trip to Nagarkot to view the sunrise over the Himalaya on a clear day you can see the Mount Everest from here. Return via the medieval city of Bhadgaon, also known as Bhaktapur, it is the second largest of the major cities in the valley. The elaborately carved temples are superb. Also visit Bodnath, one of the world's largest Buddhist shrines and Pashupatinath. Overnight at hotel . |

Kathmandu-Patan Early morning Mountain flight. Later tour of Patan, southwest of Kathmandu. Patan also known as Lalitpur, is the oldest of the three major cities in the Kathmandu Valley, and is famous for its Buddhist monument and Hindu temple. Durbar square is where most of the buildings have intricate woodwork and where built in the 17th century by the Malla King of Patan. Afternoon free. |

Kathmandu Tour terminates. Proceed to Kathmandu International Airport for onward flight. |

Beijing Arrive Beijing and transfer to your hotel for welcome drinks and a tour briefing where you will meet your tour leaders and local guide. |
| Day 2-3 |
Beijing & The Great Wall In the Chinese capital, we explore historic sites such as Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Place. We also travel to the country's most famous site, the Great Wall of China, and take a walk along this monumental creation before returning to Beijing for some free time. Finally, we board our sleeper train for the overnight train to Xian. |
| Day 4-5 |
Xian & Terracotta Warriors The Xian area is home to some of the oldest cities in human civilisation and became the focus of international attention when a buried army of Terracotta Warriors were uncovered by peasants in 1974. Xian is also the Chinese starting point of the legendary Silk Road - the historic junction of eastern and western civilisations. We visit the amazing Terracotta Army, as well as the Neolithic Village at Banpo and the Wild Goose Pagoda. |
| Day 6-7 |
Guilin & Yangshuo Today we fly to Guilin, the site of one of China's most celebrated natural spectacles where vast limestone mountains meet the mythical Li River. We explore the Reed Flute Cave, and spend a full day cruising on the river to Yangshuo, surrounded by famous scenery that has inspired poets and artists for centuries. Yangshuo is an ideal place for further river exploration, cycling between mountains or just relaxing in a serene and historic town. |
| Day 8-9 |
Shanghai Today fly to China's frenetic commercial capital Shanghai where we visit the Jade Buddha Temple, the Old Chinese Quarter and the Yuyuan Gardens. Afterwards we take a walk along the Bund and admire the historic colonial architecture of China's most exciting city. We also provide some free time for shopping further exploration. |

Saigon Arrive Saigon and transfer to one of the city's historic French colonial hotels. This evening get to know your tour leader and local guide during your tour briefing and welcome drinks. |
| Day 2-3 |
Saigon-Cu Chi-Mekong Delta We walk Saigon's wide and historic boulevards, visiting famous landmarks such as the site of the former US Embassy, Hotel de Ville, Presidential Palace and lively Chinatown. In the afternoon we travel to Cu Chi, to visit the amazing tunnel system built by Communist soldiers during the Vietnam War. Finally, our journey takes us to the Mekong Delta, where we walk amongst lush fruit orchards and take a sampan along the intricate waterways of the Mekong River. |
| Day 4-5 |
China Beach-Hoi An Flying to Danang on Vietnam's central coast, we visit the city's fascinating Cham Museum before travelling the short distance south to the famous China Beach. It's then on to the quaint merchant town of Hoi An, where we walk narrow cobblestone lanes visiting markets, historic houses and temples. In the evening, a chance to try your hand at Vietnamese cooking at a friend's restaurant. |
| Day 6-8 |
Hue-Halong Bay We take the coastal drive north past Marble Mountain and Hai Van Pass to Hue, Vietnam's former imperial capital. In Hue, travel by dragon boat along the scene Perfume River to the revered Thien Mu Pagoda. See the impressive tomb of former Emperor Tu Duc and the ruins of the former royal risidence, the Hue Citadel. From Hue, we fly north to Hanoi and travel on to Halong Bay, perhaps Vietnam's most spectacular natural landscape. We spend the following morning cruising amongst the thousands of limestone islets of the bay before returning to Hanoi. |
| Day 9 |
Hanoi Today, explore Vietnam's charming capital, Hanoi. We travel into the life of Ho Chi Minh, the father of modern Vietnam visiting the Ho Chi Minsh Museum, mausoleum and the simple wooden home from which he ruled Vietnam. We also visit the Temple of Literature and the Old Quarter, a siries of 36 ancient streets where pedlars trade their wares as they have done for centuries. In the evening, a performance by Hanoi's famed water puppets and an opportunity to bid your fellow travellers and Vietnam farewell. |

The peak with its panoramic view of the island and Kowloon Peninsula awaits you. Here you relax and enjoy a buffet lunch with a window on the world below. The afternoon is yours to explore the many shops in the neighbourhood of your hotel. As day turns to night, revel in the romance of a Sunset Cruise aboard a Chinese junk followed by dinner at one of the famous floating restaurants in Aberdeen returning to town in time for a glimpse of local nightlife. |

Hong Kong Have a heartly breakfast at your hotel before departure for a tour of 'The Land Between' which will take you pass picturesque duck ponds and rice paddies. You will visit a Buddhist temple where the local people go with joss sticks and offerings of food and walk through a typical Chinese market. Lunch is on the terrace of the Yucca de Lac Restaurant, overlooking Tolo Harbour. The afternoon can be spent at Hollywood Road hunting for that extra special piece of antique to take home or just browsing. In the evening, sip your cocktails on board an antique tram as you watch the city switches on its lights. Your farewell dinner with a colonial theme brings you back to the grandeur of 19th century Hong Kong. Dress for the part. |
